Help Drive Cancer Out of Minnesota This Spring!
American Cancer Society 2011 Midwest Golf Pass enlists golfers in to
fight cancer
MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MINN –April 14, 2011 – Whether in Kittson County to
Douglas; Stearns, Crow Wing or Houston; this spring, as golfers in the Midwest
are driving their golf balls and golf carts, many are also helping to drive cancer out
of town. They are doing so – and getting great deals on their games – with the
American Cancer Society Midwest Golf Pass.
The Midwest Golf Pass program raises funds to help people stay well and get well,
and provides money to find cures and fight back against cancer. For only $35,
golfers receive discounts and deals at more than 500 courses throughout Iowa,
Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. With offers for free rounds of golf,
reduced greens fees, and other bargains, the Midwest Golf Pass can pay for itself
with just two uses.
The American Cancer Society has two special offers to pass on even more
savings to Midwest golfers. The “Order 3, Get 1 Free” offer allows a foursome to
each obtain a Midwest Golf Pass for a total of only $105. The AAA discount allows
members to receive $5 off each Midwest Golf Pass.
“The Golf Pass is a good deal for one, and an even better deal for my foursome,”
said Twin City golfer Andy Mobley, who calls himself, a true amateur when it
comes to golf. “We always have a reason to find new courses around the Midwest,
and we feel good about supporting the American Cancer Society!”
To order your American Cancer Society Midwest Golf Pass, call 800.227.2345 or
order online at www.cancer.org/golfpass. Be sure to ask about the “Buy 3, Get 1
Free” or AAA discounts for even more savings.
About the American Cancer Society
The American Cancer Society combines an unyielding passion with nearly a
century of experience to save lives and end suffering from cancer. As a global
grassroots force of more than three million volunteers, we fight for every birthday
threatened by every cancer in every community. We save lives by helping people
stay well by preventing cancer or detecting it early; helping people get well by
being there for them during and after a cancer diagnosis; by finding cures through
investment in groundbreaking discovery; and by fighting back by rallying
lawmakers to pass laws to defeat cancer and by rallying communities worldwide to
join the fight. As the nation’s largest non-governmental investor in cancer research,
contributing about $3.4 billion, we turn what we know about cancer into what we
do. As a result, more than 11 million people in America who have had cancer and
countless more who have avoided it will be celebrating birthdays this year. To
learn more about us or to get help, call us any time, day or night, at 1-800-227-
2345 or visit cancer.org
