Red Lake Middle School Students Visit the UND
Engineering Expo
Engineering Expo
Several 8th and 9th grade girls received the opportunity through 21st Century and
the UND TRIO program to visit the UND Engineering Expo and visit a professional
photographer in Grand Forks, ND on April 26th, 2011. The students who went had
expressed an interested in Math and Science. At the Engineer Expo they were
able to speak to UND Engineering students and view their semester projects. The
professional photographer, Shawna Noel (http://www.shawnanoel.com/ ) showed
the students the inside workings of a career in photography.
Students attending included: Jaylyn Isham-Kingbird, Rhianna Cloud, Devyn
Deegan, Keisha Thunder, Brenna Pemberton, Angel Stillday, Kendra Dow,
Lanelle Thompson, Kaliesha Anderson, and Kiana Ellis.
