Carol Jean “Sozette” Robinson, 59, of Federal Dam, died Wednesday, Nov. 3,
2010, at her home.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Ball Club Community
Center, with the Spiritual Leader Steve Jackson officiating. Visitation will be held
beginning at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, and continue until the time of the service. Burial
will be in Olivet Cemetery in Deer River, Minn. Arrangements were entrusted to
Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Schaaf, Bob Schaaf, Frank Robinson, Ed Cloud, Jeff
Whitebird and Mike White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Schaaf, Terry Robinson, Kenneth Moore, Chris
Robinson, Benny Robinson, Jerred Moore and Gary Wahweotten.
She was born on June 27, 1951, to Joe and Evelyn (Fitzsimmons) Wahweotten, in
Holton, Kan. She enjoyed going to powwows, going to the casino, birch barking,
collecting nick-knacks and enjoyed having garage sales.
She is survived by her sons, Chadley (Charlene Mitchell) White, of Boy Lake,
Minn., Isreal White, of Sugar Point, Minn.; daughter, Shannon (Kenneth) Robinson-
Moore, of Sugar Point; brother, Gary Wahweotten, of Deer River; sisters, Juanita
Wahweotten, of Deer River, Darlene Fairbanks, of Ball Club; nine grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph White; daughter,
Shawn Robinson; and two granddaughters.
