Daniel Jacob Worner, 16 of Red Lake, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at the Red Lake Hospital in Red Lake.
The funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 9, at the Little Rock Center in Little Rock. A wake will begin at 11 a.m. today, March 7, at the Little Rock Center and continue until the time of service. Burial will be at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
Honorary pallbearers will be Starrlite Jourdain, Laura Christianson, Amanda Walton, Elisha Lasley, Aaron Nevitt, Joseph Perkins, Emery Skinaway, Darian “Bubba” Curry, Tamryn Yeppa, Courtney Barrett, Floyd “Buck” Jourdain, Carissa Trudeau, Justin Lussier, Dominique Curry and Cheyenne Norris.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Fasthorse, John Jourdain, Orlando Weiss, Lenny Bellecourt, Jerry Cook.
He was born Nov. 24, 1993, to Willa Jourdain and Lansing Worner in Bemidji. He attended elementary schools at Central in Bemidji and at Cass Lake. He then attended the Bemidji Middle School. He was currently attending Alternative Learning Center at the Red Lake High School as a junior. He played football and wrestled at the middle school. He loved to fish, rollerblade, golf, hunt and snowboard. He was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and spending time with his family, cousins and friends. He also liked attending concerts.
He is survived by his mother of Red Lake; father of Bemidji; grandparents, Floyd Jourdain of St. Paul, Elaine Jourdain of Red Lake and Fred and Rosella Worner of Bemidji; sisters, Auralia Bellecourt of Bemidji and Arianna Greene of Red Lake; brothers, Richard Worner and Karter Worner of Apple Valley; and godparents, Mike Kornezos Sr. of Cass Lake and Michelle Anderson of Bemidji .
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents.
