Eugene “Punky” Edward Lussier, 55, of Bemidji, died Sunday, May 9, 2010,
at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 14, at St. Mary’s Mission
Catholic Church in Red Lake with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. A
visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Cease Family
Funeral Home of Bemidji. A wake will begin at noon Thursday, May 13, at the
Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake and will continue until the time of
the service. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery in Red
Lake, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

The pallbearers will be Darrin Lussier, Trevor Lussier, Bruce Dreyer, Conrad
Thompson Sr., Nick Lussier and Wayne Lussier.

Honorary pallbearers will be Darvin Lussier, Charlie Reynolds and his children.

He was born July 21, 1954, to Edward “Pat” Weise and Margaret Lussier, in
Red Lake. He was raised and educated in Bemidji, graduating from Bemidji
High School. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force. He returned to
Bemidji and worked as a glass bender for the Bemidji Sign Company. He
later went on to work for Lakehead Sign Company in Superior, Wis. He
moved to Eau Claire, Wis., where he lived for a number of years before
spending time in Bemidji and Eau Claire. He moved to Bemidji in 2002. He
was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping, fishing, playing cards, and
spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Jason (Kathy) Douglas of Bemidji, Darcy
Douglas of Bemidji, Dustin Lussier of Eau Clair, Zach Lussier of Eau Clair
and Zoe Lussier of Eau Clair; a brother, Darvin (Linda) Lussier of Guthrie;
father, Edward “Pat” Weise of Bemidji and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Darrell Lussier, Warren
Jack Hart, Lewis “Bud” Schwartz; and his son, Dylan Lussier.
