George Neeland, 55, of Bagley, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at his
residence at Rice Lake.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Rice Lake Community Center
in Rice Lake. A wake will begin Monday evening and continue until the funeral
at the center. Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with
arrangements.
He was born July 27, 1954, to Robert and Sophie Neeland in White Earth,
Minn. He grew up in Rice Lake and attended Bagley Schools and lower
Colombia College in Washington.
He married Martha Gedstad Aug. 7, 1974, in Sisseton, S.D.
He had a deep passion for friends and family and was very proud of them all.
He loved to rice, leech, hunt, camp and teach his children and grandchildren,
nieces, and nephews his special gifts.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Jacob, Joshua (Breanna) and Jared (Angela)
Neeland, all of Bagley; sisters, Wanda (Chad) Neeland of Bemidji; Joy
Neeland of Brainerd; Terri Musselman of Park Rapids; and Penny, Mia and
April Thompson, all of Bagley; brothers, Brian (Faye) Neeland of Moorhead;
Aron (Cindy) Thompson of Bagley; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
