Glenda Ann “Sissy Ann” Norby, 52, of Columbia Heights, Minn., died Monday, Nov.
8, 2010 at her home.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Redby Community
Center in Redby, with the Rev. Josephine Smith officiating. The wake will begin at
4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Redby Center and will continue until Saturday’s
service. Burial will be in the St. Antipas Episcopal Cemetery in Redby under the
direction of the Cease Family funeral Home of Bemidji.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Norby Jr., Joe Norby, Dean Norby, Donald “Dondo”
Hobson, David Hobson and Larry “Monty” Lamont; with alternates John Hobson,
Wayne Norby Sr. and Kevin Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donna Lamount, Debbie Maxwell, Cherelle Norby,
Eileen Lamont, Angela Norby, Cheryl Maxwell, Milcart Adams, Brenda Wallace
and Terri Sue Ness.
She was born on March 13, 1958, to Calvin and Doreen (Hobson) Norby, in
Bemidji. She was raised and educated in Red Lake and Minneapolis. She
enjoyed working at Rise Inc., which provided adult day services. She enjoyed
taking pictures of family and friends, collecting Teddy Bears and cups.
She is survived by her brothers, Wayne (Roberta) Norby, of Columbia Heights,
Calvin Norby Jr., of Anoka, Minn., Dean (Lisa) Norby, of Hopkins, Minn.; father,
Calvin Norby, of Riverton, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and sister, Gail Schriefels.
