Helen J. Jones, 67 of Redby, MN died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at North
Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.

A funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 20, at the St. Mary’s Catholic
Mission Church in Red Lake, with Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin
at 2p.m., Friday, Dec.17, at Redby Community Center in Redby, MN, and will
continue until the time of the service. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery
in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of
Bemidji.

Active Pallbearers will be: David D. Clark, Adrian Clark, Dakota Strong, Clayton
Strong Jr., Kevin Schoenborn, Raymond Cloud, and alternate: Greg Strong.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rosella Hart, Richard “Gitch” Clark, Oliver “Corky”
Clark, Darrell “Dane” Clark, Lisa Brun, Ron Brun, Angela Kingbird Strong, Cheryl
“Choppy” Strong, Tamron “Tammy” Strong, and Jackie Ramsey

She was born on Dec. 20, 1942, in Red Lake, the daughter of Burton and Mary
(Hart) Strong. She was raised and educated in Red Lake. In 1978 she moved to
Minneapolis, while there she worked as a CNA at a nursing home. She married
Gerald Jones on May 30, 1980. They moved to Redby, that year, and she was a
stay at home Mom. She enjoyed reading, baking, watching TV, going to casinos,
helping other people, and spending time with friends and family, especially her
grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, of Redby; Sons, Harlan (Angie) Strong of Redby,
Anthony (Tammy) Strong of Bemidji; Daughters, Roxanne (Corky) Strong of
Redby, Joyce Strong of Bemidji, Carol (Daryl) Strong of Ponemah, Clarissa
(Kevin) Strong of Redby; Grandson she raised, Daniel Strong of Redby; Brothers,
Jerome (Margaret) Strong Sr. of Redby, Lester (Colleen) Strong of Red Lake,
Herman Strong Sr. of Redby; Sister, Kathleen Strong of Redby; 28 Grandchildren,
and 37 Great-Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margaret Needham, Cecelia
Strong; brothers, Gerald Strong, Marvin Strong; sons, Gary Strong, Duane Strong,
and grandson Derrick Strong.
