Henry Lewis Reed, 75, of Cass Lake, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010.
The service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18 at St. John’s Episcopal
Church in Onigum. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Oak
Point Community Center, Cass Lake, and continue until the time of the service.
Arrangements are with Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker.
Pallbearers will be Willard Reed, Frank Beaulieu, Roberto Gomez, James
Howard, Harold Fier and John Elmberg.
He was born Oct. 26, 1934, to Andrew and Kathryn (Weaver) Reed in
Onigum. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, going to powwows, building
things, landscaping, working on cars, watching sports with the Vikings and the
Twins being his favorites, and spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Rose (Dick) Reed; sons Willard Reed (Tammi
Adams) of Redwood Falls, Minn., Henry Chapman Reed of St. Paul and
stepson John Dick of California; stepdaughter, Sharon Ramirz of San Antonio,
Texas; sisters Frances Elmberg of Onigum and Shirley Lindley of Crystal,
Minn.; 29 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, a son,
two daughters and a grandson.
