Jason Todd “MISKGAGWAN” Bongo, whose name manes Red Feather, 43, of
Bemidji, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at the Sanford Health Center in Fargo.

The Traditional Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Veteran’s
Memorial Building in Cass Lake, with Spiritual Leader Lee Staples officiating. The
wake will begin at dusk on Monday, Nov. 8, and continue until Tuesday’s service.
Burial will be in the Morgan Family Cemetery, located on Oak Point Road in Cass
Lake, following the service. Arrangements were entrusted to Northern Peace
Funeral Home of Walker.

Pallbearers will be Tim Stangel, Richard Geving, Henry (Winston) Day, Bob Aitkin,
Paul Day and Wayne Smith.

He was born on Aug. 6, 1967, to Jan (Bongo) Martin Salazar, in Minneapolis. He
attended school in Bemidji as a child. He later received his high school GED and
went on to graduate from the Twin Cities OIC for business. He worked hard and
eventually owned his own roofing company. He enjoyed drawing with his hands
and later became good at computer drawings. He enjoyed watching the show
“Gunsmoke,” and owned the complete set of episodes. He would watch the show
every day and not allow people to call him while he was watching it. He enjoyed
making everyone smile.

He is survived by his mother, of Bemidji; son, Preston Beaulieu, of Fargo, N.D.;
daughter, Nicole Beaulieu, of Bemidji; brothers, Justin Neadeau, of Phoenix,
Jesse Neadeau, of Denver, Ronald Gene (Michele) Martin Jr., of Brooklyn Park,
Minn.; sister, Carrie Bongo, of Nogales, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and many
relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; brother, Quentin Roy; numerous
aunts and uncles.
