Leona Raisch passed away July 23rd, 2010 in Minneapolis after a long battle
with illness.

Born in Red Lake, Leona moved to Minneapolis in the early 1950's, where
she married, raised her family and worked for her community. She worked
with the American Indian community for over 30 years. She played a key role
in advocating for many families in the realm of Indian child welfare and
reunification.

Although we will truly miss her, we know she has begun her journey in a good
way.

Survived by daughters - Stephanie (Dale) Graves, Roberta (Bill) Pemberton,
sons - Joe (Cheryle) Silva, and Robert Sam Raisch III. Many grandchildren
and great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Services will be held at: July 25th, 2010, Office of Indian Ministries (Blessed
Kateri ) 3045 Park Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55407, Wake starts 5:00 pm,
prayer service 7:00 pm, Funeral services, Monday July 26th at 11:00 am,
Internment Gethsemane Cemetary, New Hope, MN.
