Linda Lee Turney “BII’DASHIKWE”, 62, of Walker, MN, passed away on Tuesday,
September 21, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Walker with her family by her
side.  She was born on July 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Marvin and Pearl (Graves)
Turney.

Linda enjoyed attend Pow-Wows, spending time at Whipholt Beach when she
could find the time.  She also enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and
spending time with her family, especially with the three sister reunion.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenneth Turney and son
Charles Greyhair.

She is survived by her son; Chimakwanibowe Stone of Leech Lake, daughters;
Muriel Ellis of Cass Lake, Cynthia Madigan of Cass Lake and Melissa (Michael)
Stewart-Greyhair of Black River Falls, WI, brothers; Ronald (Joan) Turney of
Bemidji, Lee (Patti) Turney of Onigum, Russell Turney of Minneapolis and Edwin
Monroe of Onigum, MN, sisters; Phyllis (Earl) Yingling of Chandler, AZ, Ruth Wright
of Old Agency and Elaine Monroe of Bemidji, MN.  Many grandchildren, great
grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

A wake service for Linda will begin at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, September, 22, at
the Onigum Community Center and continue until the 11:00 a.m. service on Friday,
September 24, also at the Onigum Community Center with Alan Hardy as Spiritual
Leader.  Pallbearers will be Tauno Mike, Joshua Stone, Jonathan Ellis, Joseph
Bruce, Walter Smith, Jr., Michael Stewart, Kenneth Turney and Joey Wright.  
Interment will be held in St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery at Old Agency following
the service.
