Marie Edith Waybenais Hardy, 94, of Red Lake, MN died Monday, October 11,
2010 at the Jourdain/Perpich Extended Care Facility in Red Lake.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Red Lake with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will
begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at the Little Rock Center in Red
Lake and will continue until the time of service on Thursday. Interment will be at the
St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake. The Cease Family Funeral Home of
Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements.
She was born October 16, 1915 in Red Lake, MN the daughter of Joseph
Waybenais and Betsy Kingbird. She married Charles Hardy of Ponemah. She
enjoyed going to the casino and visiting her family and gatherings. She enjoyed
spending time with all of her many nieces and nephews. She was known for her
sense of humor.
She is survived by her family: Darrell, Deborah (Darrell) , Sacheen (Charles) ,
Clarinda, Rose (Simon) and Sarah Waybenais, 2 nieces and a nephew- Alberta
Norris, Thelma Watford and George Waybenais, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, brothers and a
daughter.
Active Casketbearers will be Albert Stately III, Scott Tyndall, Frank Weise, Oscar
Spears, Lydal Feather and Keenan Sayers.
Honorary Casketbearers will be Shirley Lussier, Ruth Fevig, Paula Little, Susan
Johnson, Gloria Whitefeather and Violet Roy.
