Patrick Ernest Hanks, 39, of Red Lake, formerly of Cass Lake, died Saturday,
Sept. 11, at the Red Lake Hospital.

A wake service will be held at 4 p.m. today, Sept. 14, at the Onigum
Community Center and continue until the 11 a.m. service on Wednesday,
Sept. 15, also at the Onigum Community Center with the Rev. George Ross
officiating. Interment will be in the St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery following the
service. Arrangements were entrusted to Northern Peace Funeral Home of
Walker.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Butcher, Kyle Butcher, Shawn Butcher, Nigel
Butcher, Daryl Barrett and Ryan Barrett.

He was born on Jan. 13, 1971, in Minneapolis, to Jimmy Gale and Arlene
(Monroe) Hanks.

He is survived by his son, Antonio Garbow-Hanks, of Mille Lacs, Minn.; sister,
Simone Hanks, of Cass Lake, Minn.; numerous nephews, aunts, uncles and
other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother; father; and brothers, Daryl and
Duane Hanks.
