Rawlen Guinn Jr., of Ogema, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, near Roy Lake, Minn.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at the St. Anne’s Catholic
Church in Naytahwaush. A wake will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the
Rice Lake Community Center, and continue until the time of the funeral. Burial will
be in the St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery in Naytahwaush. The Cease Family
Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
He was born Feb. 16, 1971, to Rawlen Guinn Sr. and Carol Jean (Critt) Guinn, in
Bemidji. He attended school in Bemidji and graduated in 1989 from Mahnomen
High School. He worked odd jobs and lived in various cities. He worked
construction and his most current job was working for Gordon Construction. He
married Celeste Peltier on Sept. 5, 2010, in North Dakota. He enjoyed boxing,
wrestling, outdoors, hunting, the casino, leeching and ricing. He had a good sense
of humor and was always joking and making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, of Ogema; father, of Bagley; mother, of Detroit Lakes,
Minn.; sisters, JulieAnn (Donny) Saice, of Bemidji, Denise Guinn, of Ogema;
daughters, Amber Guinn, of Cass Lake, Ilisha Guinn, of Cass Lake; son, Rawlen
Guinn III, of Cass Lake.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Chrystal Guinn; three aunts; and his
grandparents.
