Roman George Beaulieu, Jr., 57, of Redby, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2010, at
North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Red Lake, with Rev. Pat Sullivan officiating. A wake will
begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 17, at the Redby Center and continue until
the time of service on Thursday. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic
Cemetery in Red Lake, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral
Home of Bemidji.
The pallbearers will be Kevin Beaulieu, Randy “Maushie” Needham, Reginald
“Beebles” Beaulieu, Jr., Charlie “Whee” Charnoski, Jr., Ryan Needham,
Austin Needham, Arnold “Raynagan” Charnoski, with alternates Donovan
Needham, Jerry Needham, Charlie Charnoski, Sr. and James Needham, Jr.
The honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Auginash, Gerald Spears, Jim and
Winona Dudley, Arlen “Bushman” and Jan Roberts, Jim Parkhurst, Arlie
Jourdain, Roderick “Saucey” McKenzie, Ron McKenzie, Marty Clark, Mary
Ellen Cook-Stillday and Oliver Clark, Jr.
He was born September 14, 1952, to Roman and Betty (Francisco) Beaulieu,
Sr., in Red Lake. He grew up in Redby and attended school at St. Mary’s
Mission and Red Lake High School. He married Debra Dudley of Redby in
1977.
He worked at Sears in Minneapolis and later returned home to work various
jobs. He worked for St. Mary’s Mission for the last few years until his recent
health problems.
He enjoyed doing crafts, painting, drawing, going to family events, spending
time with his friends and especially enjoyed decorating his house.
He is survived by his mother; his companion Nancy Roy, Redby; daughter
Deidra Beaulieu, Bemidji; sisters Ramona Needham, Redby; Ronalda
(Charlie) Charnoski, Redby; Joyce (Ron) Fowler, Thief River Falls; brothers
Reginald (Shirley) Beaulieu, Sr., Red Lake; Randolph (Cheryl) Beaulieu, Cass
Lake; Frank D. Beaulieu, Red Lake; one granddaughter; many nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, brothers Randolph Beaulieu and Bill
Beaulieu.
