Sandra B. Klaers, 62, of Federal Dam, Minn., died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the Veteran’s
Memorial Building in Cass Lake. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m.
Monday, March 1, at the Veterans Memorial Building.

Pallbearers will be Sue Robinson, Patty Cournoyer, Sue Cloud, Diane
Christianson, Shari Connor, Kathy Roy, Maggie Day and Brenda Northbird.

Honorary pallbearers will be J.R. Fowler, John Robinson, AJ Dvorak, Terry
LaDuke, Cliff Cloud, Joe Shepherd, Jay Northbird, Ernest Howard, Pete
Robinson and Jim Moses. Burial will be in Battle Point Cemetery in Federal
Dam, Minn.

Arrangements are with Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker.

She was born March 5, 1947, in Richfield, Minn. She attended elementary
school in Richfield, then moved to Mound, Minn., where she attended school
until 10th grade. She graduated from Bozeman High School in Montana in
1965. After graduation she moved back to Minneapolis.

She liked cooking and bartending, meeting new people, playing darts, fishing
and camping and spending time with her dogs.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Gale of Federal Dam; son, Kerry
(Maria) Klaers of Walker; daughter, Rachael (Ron) Klaers-Martin of Walker;
stepdaughters, Katie (Aaron) Guthrie and Krista Gale, both of Bemidji;
brother, Wayne Byrd of Costa Rica; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ginger and Lovely; aunts
and uncles; and extended family.
