Sara Lynn Lussier, 33, of Bemidji, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, in Shakopee, Minn.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red
Lake, with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. The wake will begin at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Red Lake Community Center. Burial will be in St. Mary’
s Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake. Arrangements were entrusted to the Olson-
Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji.
Pallbearers will be David Quincy, Donald Good, Barry Oakgrove, Sean Lussier,
Joe Good, Charles Lussier, Carl Fairbanks, Dallas Good, Derek Lussier, Austin
Head, Rodney Lussier, tony Bellanger and Edward Good.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nicole Good, Tiffany Lussier, Dawn Belcourt, Erica
Martinez, Brenda Lussier, Dannielle Ruiz, Meredith Morgan, Britney Lussier,
Diana Ruiz, Lori Beaulieu, Sharon Cook, Crystal Cobenais, Cheryl Oakgrove and
Nicole Oakgrove-Brun.
She was born on June 4, 1977, to Edward Lussier and Lois Quincy Lussier, in
Bemidji. She grew up in Red Lake and attended St. Mary’s Mission School, Red
Lake High School and Circle of Life School in Minneapolis. She worked at Mystic
Lake Casino. She married Jose Bravo in Minneapolis and became a stay-at-
home mom. She enjoyed staying home, spending time with her four daughters and
taking care of them. She enjoyed shopping, travelling and hanging out with friends
and family. She liked to draw and watch movies with her daughters. Her favorite
color was yellow.
She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Lussier, Rashelli Bravo, Brisenia Bravo,
Estrella Bravo; father, Edward (Lori) Lussier Jr., of Red Lake; mother, Lois
Lussier; sister, Leanna Lussier, of Red Lake; brothers, Rodney Lussier, of Red
Lake, Austin Head, of Red Lake, Tony (Jen) Bellanger, of White Earth; special
sister, Meredith Morgan, of Minneapolis; special nephew; many nieces, nephews,
aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents;
four aunts; four uncles; and a great-grandmother.
