Sherry Lyne Clark, 51, of Redby, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the Red Lake
Hospital, Red Lake, Minn.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at St. Antipas
Episcopal Church, Redby, with Rev. George Ross officiating. Visitation will begin
at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 14, at the Redby Community Center. Burial will be in the St.
Antipas Episcopal Church Cemetery, Redby. Arrangements are with the
Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, Minn.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bailey, Henry Donnell, Jr., Robin Auginash, George
Szymanski, Gary Dudley, and Charles Johnson, Patrick Bailey and Vernon Clark
Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jolene DuCamp, Val Stately, Barbara Stillday,
Brenda Lussier Johns, Val Clark and Beverly Bailey, Jan Kelly and Jan Roberts.
She was born June 18, 1959, to James and Ardella Bailey in Red Lake. She
attended schools in Red Lake and graduated in 1977. After graduation from high
school, she became a certified nursing assistant and was employed at the
Crookston Hospital in Crookston, Minn., for a number of years before returning to
Redby, Minn. She married Wayne Clark on Feb. 21, 1981, in Bemidji. They made
their home in Redby raising their family there. She worked for MPI in Bemidji for a
few years and then was employed at the Red Lake Casino for many years until she
became injured and had to take a medical retirement. She was well known for her
great cooking and baking. She always placed first place in the flower garden
contest held each year. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing keno,
spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Kendra; mother; brothers, Jerry Bailey
of Fisher, Minn., Adrian Omen of Red Lake and Harold Spears of Tennessee;
sister, Rebecca Groves of Selma, N.C., and many nieces, nephews, aunts and
uncles.
She was preceded in death by her father; son Patrick; and brother, James Jr.;
maternal grandparents, Reinhard and Tillie Holthusen; and paternal grandparents
Roy and Catherine Bailey.
