Shirley ChrisAnn Erickson, 52, of Cass Lake, died Friday, June 4, 2010, at St.
Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10, at the Veteran’s
Memorial Building in Cass Lake with the Rev. Anshelm Thevarkunnel
officiating. A wake will begin in the afternoon Tuesday, June 8, at the Veteran’
s Memorial Building in Cass Lake and will continue until the time of service.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake, under the direction of
the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
The pallbearers will be Josh LaDuke, Shawn Staples, Chris Barrett, Lance
Erickson, Justin Erickson and Bill Ray Erickson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Becky Erickson, Barbara Flaten, Hunter
Fairbanks, Milia Erickson, Tanner LaDuke, Brandy, Brandon Skenandore,
Zack Isham, Beverly Kauppi, Iva LaDuke, Shirley Lillemo, Michael (Nadean)
Erickson; her aunts and cousins.
She was born July 11, 1957, to Phyllis (Roy) and Norman O. Erickson in
Minneapolis. She was raised in Minneapolis and Cass Lake. She loved
spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She enjoyed the
casino, beading, watching movies, going to pow wows and helping other
people.
She is survived by her son, Dale (Michele) Fairbanks of Anoka, Minn.; four
grandchildren; daughter, Kaytie (Eric) Milz of Minneapolis; brothers, Ervin and
Bill Erickson of Cass Lake; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Norman Dale Erickson;
sister, Barbara Jean Erickson and two nephews.
