Stacy Lanette Hill, 17, of Red Lake, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, in Red
Lake.
A traditional funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 12, at the
Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake with Spiritual Leader Greg
Kingbird officiating. A wake will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at the Little
Rock Community Center and continue until the time of the service. Burial will
be in the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, under the
direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.
The pallbearers will be Paul Hill, Justin Richards, Daniel White Sr., Reid
Richards, Sam Richards, Jeremy Hill, Alternates: Sheldon Hill and Merwin Hill.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tisheena Lussier, Karla Thunder, Keisha
Thunder, Nicole Hanson, Kristina Thunder and Kayla Thunder.
She was born Jan. 28, 1992, to Bonita G. Hill and Alan Brown, in Minneapolis.
She was raised and educated in Red Lake. She almost finished with her
schoolwork for 12th grade and was looking forward to graduation. She was a
good student and all of her teachers enjoyed having her in their class. She
was well liked, and got along with most everyone she met. She was very
creative. She enjoyed beading, drawing, reading, basketball, using the
computer, watching movies and taking long walks with family and friends.
She is survived by her: mother, Bonita G. Hill of Red Lake; sister, Bonita L. Hill
of Red Lake; brothers, Vincent F. Hill of Red Lake, Ryan Brown of Red Lake;
aunts; uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alice and Frank
Hill; two uncles and an aunt.
