Terrance Wind, age 55, of Red Lake, Minn. died, Friday, November 26, 2010 at
Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji, Minn.
Traditional Native American services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 2,
2010 at the Ponemah Community Center, Ponemah, Minn. Visitation will begin 5:
00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Ponemah Community Center,
Ponemah, Minn. Interment will be in Ponemah, Minn.
Terrance Lee Wind was born in Red Lake, MN to Reuben & Margaret White Wind
on August 30, 1955. He was raised in Red Lake and attended Red Lake High
School. After high school Terry moved out to California to pursue his love of art. In
1999, he moved out to Pittsburgh, PA, to continue that love of art and his native
heritage. Due to his declining health, Terry moved back Red Lake in 2001. Art
was Terry’s life. He also loved going to Powwows, watching football, movies,
hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his special friend, Alice Minneci; children, Anang-ikwe Wind,
Nodin Wind, Terrance Lee Wind, Jr. all of Red Lake, Minn., and Tory & Hunter
James, Snomich, WA; 3 grandchildren, Arlan Ehrich, IV, Leslie R. Wind - Jones
and step-grandson Chazz Lawrence; brother, Reuben (Luann) Wind, of Red Lake,
Minn.; sisters, Joyce & Cheryl Wind both of Red Lake, Minn.; and many nieces and
nephews. Terry is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Charles, Harold
& Gerald.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji, Minn.
