Arlen Wayne Good, 59, of Red Lake, died on Sunday, April 10, 2011, in Red Lake.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at the St. Mary’s Catholic
Church in Red Lake, with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 3
p.m. today, April 13, at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, and will
continue until the time of the service. Burial will be at the St. Mary’s Mission
Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral
Home of Bemidji.

Active pallbearers will be Craig Cook, Clayton Cook Sr., Gary Neadeau, Donald
Good Jr., Clayton Roberts, Joseph Good, Royce Sayers Jr. and Greg Good.

Honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Spears, Clarence Spears, Marvin Head,
Donald Good Sr., Jack Neadeau, Jerry Beaulieu, Jeff Beaulieu and Gary Carter.

He was born on September 28, 1951, in Red Lake to Joseph and Delores
(Neadeau) Good. He was raised and educated in Red Lake until the ninth grade
and attended Riverside Boarding School where he graduated. After graduation he
enlisted into the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1973. After his
discharge from the Navy, he started his plumbing career. While working he
attended Dunwoody Institute in the evening for his plumbing degree. He graduated
from there after five years of night school and then went on to earn his master
plumbers license, and worked for 35 years with the Minneapolis Plumbers Local
#15. He retired in 2008 and moved home to Red Lake and started his own
business, Ojibway Mechanical Inc.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and trap. He also loved to
golf and play pool, and traveled all over the United States to play in tournaments. A
proud father and grandfather, he loved to be around his family. He died doing what
he loved to do the most: fishing.

He is survived by a son, Marchel Day; sisters, Gloria (Fabian) Cook and Sheri
(Mitchell) Good; brothers, Larry Good, Donald Good Sr., Ronald Good, Greg
Good and Michael Good, all of Red Lake; step-daughters, Amber Day and Lauren
Day; special friend, Stephanie Day; a granddaughter; and numerous nieces and
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joseph Good and Darwin
Good; sister, Joni Good; and his grandparents.
