Barbara Jean “Jeanie” Brown Little Eagle, 58, of Minneapolis, died Tuesday, Feb.
22, 2011, in Minneapolis, Minn.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at the Veteran’s
Memorial Building in Cass Lake, with the Rev. George Ross officiating. A wake
began Thursday at the Veteran’s Memorial Building and will continue until the time
of the services Saturday. Burial will be at the Prince of Peace Cemetery in Cass
Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers will be Sheila Brown, Charles Headbird, Sheldon Brown,
Kelly Brown, Jessie Brown and Rose Brown.

Active pallbearers will be Franklin Brown, Curtis Brown, Ben White, Winfield
LaPrairie, Cory Oquist, Carlos Casarez, Mark Hanson and Bernie Brown.

She was born Nov. 20, 1952, to Daniel Kingbird and Rose Marie Brown in Cass
Lake. She lived in Cass Lake until she was 5 years old and then moved to
Minneapolis where she was raised and educated. She loved spending time with
her youngest daughters and grand kids. She enjoyed going to bingo, reading and
watching movies.

She is survived by her mother of Minneapolis; sons, Charles James Headbird of
Cass Lake and Sheldon Thomas Brown of Cass Lake; daughters, Sheila Marie
Brown, Kelly Marie Brown and Jessie Marie Brown, all of Minneapolis; 16
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Richard Lee Brown of Cass Lake
and Daniel Kingbird Jr. of Cass Lake; and sister, Patty Kingbird of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Margaret Brown; two
uncles; two grandchildren.
