Bethany Rose Binesiikwe (Thunder Bird Woman) Perkins, 10, of Ponemah, died
Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at North Country Regional Hospital in Bemidji.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 4, at Ponemah Community Center with
Spiritual Leader Steve Jackson officiating. A wake will begin at 2 p.m.
Wednesday, March 2, at the center and continue until the time of the services.
Burial will be in the Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah under the direction of the
Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Active pallbearers will be Melvin Whitefeather, Jr., Keith Roy, Kevin Patterson,
Darren Iceman, Scott Perkins, Eddie Perkins, Evan Thomas and Ken Roy with
alternate Alan Whitefeather.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donna Whitefeather, Lisa Pater, Tharen Iceman,
Cheyenne Hardy, Shayla Hardy, Lisa Johnson, Melissa Perkins and Mr.
Frischman’s fourth-grade class.

She was born a twin on Aug. 17, 2000, in Fargo, N.D., to Sheldon Perkins and
Dawn Waybenais. She was raised and educated in Ponemah and was in the
fourth grade. She liked to be on the computer and go on Facebook and also take
photos of herself on her DSI. She enjoyed playing outside and riding four-
wheelers. She loved to go to school and write and draw and visit her little friend
Sophie. She was being raised by her grandfather and aunties.

She is survived by her grandfather, Melvin Whitefeather, Sr.; aunts, Tracy and
Dawna Whitefeather; parents; grandmas, Patricia Perkins and Debbie
Waybenais; great-grandma, Margaret Perkins; sisters, Destiny, Marissa, Alyssa,
Ashlyn and Lashelle; brother, Clinton; uncles, Melvin Whitefeather, Jr. and Scott
Perkins; and numerous cousins, great-aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Breanna (Nov. 13, 2000); and her
great-grandfathers.
