Everett Arthur Allen, 40, of Minneapolis, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Saint
Olaf Nursing Home in Minneapolis.
A funeral was held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at the Veterans Memorial
Building in Cass Lake. A wake was held from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday, April 22,
at the Little Earth Gymnasium in Minneapolis. The wake continued at 9 p.m. on
Friday, April 22, at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake and went until
the time of service on Sunday. Spiritual leader was Willis Burnette. Burial was in
the Boy Lake Cemetery/Village Cemetery in Boy Lake, Minn. following the service.
Pallbearers were Logan Allen, Brandon Howard, Alex Bellanger, George
Matthews, Guillermo Zaragoza and Daniel Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Sandland, Ronald Burnette, Brett Thorsen,
Willis Burnette and Michael Burnette.
He was born on February 15, 1971, in Minneapolis to Everett Johnson and Beverly
(Burnette) Allen. He enjoyed taking things apart and working on cars, drinking
coffee and playing cards, watching movies and playing video games, listening to
music and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son, Logan Allen; brother, Kevin Lange of Lima, Colo.;
sisters, Carla of Bemidji, Diane Grooms of St. Paul, Grace Howard of
Minneapolis, Terri Allen of Minneapolis, Kathy Napper of International Falls and
Laura Allen of Minneapolis; three nieces; four nephews; and many relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two cousins; his grandma; and step-
father, Frank Sutton.
