She was born into the Bullhead Clan on August 6, 1935 in Ponemah, MN, the
daughter of Paul and Julia (Black) Goose.  She attended boarding school.  She
was a homemaker and lived all her life in Ponemah.  She married Frederick W.
Jones, Sr. on April 10, 1954.  She loved and raised all of her children, and
grandchildren.  She was the best mother to everyone, and was also known as
“Gramma Gertie” to most. Through most of her life she enjoyed many Bingo nights
at the Palace and Red Lake Bingo.  She always welcomed people, young and old
into her home.  She enjoyed playing dice and card games with everyone who
stopped in and visited.  She was kinda bashful, but for everyone who knew her
well, they knew how crazy and funny she really was.  Everyone has a story to tell
about her, and knows what her favorite slangs were. Two in particular were
“Whateverr” and “Neverr”.  She loved to cook for her family and friends when they
came to her home, as she always had something to offer.  She loved country
music and pow-wow songs.  She loved to joke and laugh.  She was the happiest
mother and grandmother anyone could have known.

She is survived by her husband, Frederick William Jones, Sr. of Ponemah; her
children, Frederick (Roberta) Jones, Jr. of Ponemah, Jessie Jones of Ponemah,
Myron (Pearl) Jones of Red Lake, Terry (Tammy) Jones of Ponemah, Ronald
