Mary Jane Sigana, 84, of Red Lake, died Monday, March 21, 2011, at the
Jourdain-Perpich Extended Care Center in Red Lake.

A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in
Red Lake, with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake begins at 1 p.m. today,
March 23, at the Red Lake Center and continues until the time of service on
Friday. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the
direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mark, Ronnie, George, Darrell,
Lawrence, Desmond, Alan, Kevin, Dale and Dylan.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and the staff and residents of the
Jourdain Perpich Extended Care Facility.

She was born December 2, 1926, in Red Lake to Charles and Bertha (Mason)
Jourdain. She was raised and lived in Red Lake all her life. She married Roman
Sigana in 1945. She was a stay at home mom who loved to cook and be with her
family. She enjoyed playing cards, gambling and going to powwows.

She is survived by daughters, Mona, Carol (Adrian), Wanda (Steve), Cora (Don),
Eldora (Arlen), Margaret and Molly; sons, Sonny, Johnny (Bonita) and Mike (Jan);
numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren;
sisters, Ruthie Beaulieu and Alice Hoffmaster.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Luann; son, Darrell; a
granddaughter; brothers, Billy, Mark and James; and a sister, Katie.
