Jane “Charlie” Marie Blue, 69, of Bemidji, died Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the
Sanford Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, at St. Mary’s Mission
Catholic Church in Red Lake, with the Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will
begin at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at the Little Rock Community Center in Red
Lake and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Mission
Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral
Home of Bemidji.

Honorary pallbearers will be Suzanne Cutbank, Deanna Meeshenow, Becky
Barrett, Marilyn Feather, Tina Goodman and Roxanne Goose.

Palbearers will be Dennis Cutbank, Norman Cutbank, Robert Meeshenow, Darrell
Waybenaise, Lydell Feather and Frank Blue, with alternate Adelpho Barrett.

She was one of twin daughters born Jan. 28, 1942, to Cordelia Feather and
Simon Strong in Red Lake. She was raised and educated in Red Lake. She
married Andy Blue Sr. and was a homemaker. The lived in Cass Lake and
Montana for some time. She returned to Minnesota where she lived in Kelliher and
then moved to Bemidji about 10 years ago. She enjoyed powwows, casinos, word
games and jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her children, Andy Blue Jr., Billy Blue and Jane Blue; twin sister,
Mary Ann Cutbank of Kelliher; sisters, Violet Roy of Cass Lake, Alberta Strong of
Red Lake and Beverly Strong of Red Lake; brother, Tommy Strong of Red Lake;
and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Janet Blue; and
brother, Francis “Banjo” Feather.
